It's important that you provide accurate and trustworthy profiles for customers on Thumbtack. However, as a platform, we don't facilitate the addition of background checks by professionals themselves. Thumbtack has a partnership with a third-party company that conducts background checks on professionals eligible for these checks. If you are eligible, Thumbtack will reach out to you directly to initiate the process. For various reasons, including varying regulations by state and service type, not all professionals will be eligible. Being proactive in offering accurate information, professional licensing, and honest customer reviews can also serve to enhance your reputation on Thumbtack.
