What happens to unused funds in my flex spending account at the end of the year?

Asked 7 months ago
Any unused funds in your flex spending account at the end of the year will depend on the plan you are enrolled in. Discovery Benefits offers two options: a rollover option or a grace period. If your plan has a rollover option, up to $500 of unused funds can be carried over to the next plan year. This amount may vary depending on your employer's plan. If your plan has a grace period, you will have an additional 2.5 months after the end of the plan year to incur eligible expenses using the previous year's funds. It is important to review your plan details and consult with your employer regarding the specific options available to you.
