What are the requirements for getting a learner's permit?

Asked 6 months ago
To obtain a learner's permit in Washington, you must meet certain requirements. Firstly, you must be at least 15 years old and provide proof of your identity and residence. Additionally, you must pass the required knowledge test, which assesses your understanding of traffic laws and safe driving practices. Passing a vision test is another prerequisite. If you are under 18, parental consent is mandatory, and you must also be enrolled in an approved driver training course. The learner's permit allows you to practice driving with a licensed adult who is at least 21 years old and has a minimum of five years' driving experience. Once you have met these requirements, you can apply for a learner's permit at your local Washington Department of Licensing office.
