How Do I Close My Account with WeBull?

You've been trading with Webull but have decided to move your account to another firm, or you are getting out of online investing completely, but how do you close your Webull account? Below are ways you can close your trading account.

Closing Your Webull Account

You can close your Webull account using either your mobile device or your computer in a few easy steps.

Using Your Mobile Access to Close Your Account

To close your Webull account using your mobile device, do the following:

  1. Open the Webull app on your phone or tablet and log into your account.
  2. From the home screen, open the menu and select "Settings."
  3. Tap "Account & Security."
  4. Find and tap "Delete Account."
  5. Confirm you wish to delete your account.

Closing Your Account Using Your Computer

To close your Webull account using your computer, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Webull website and log into your account.
  2. Select "My Account" from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.
  3. Choose "Manage My Account" from the options that appear.
  4. Click "Delete Account."
  5. Confirm you wish to delete the account and complete any authentication steps that may be required.

Important Information to Know

When you are closing your Webull account, be aware it can take up to 3 business days for the account to be fully closed. Information in the account will still be stored in Webull's database for tax reporting purposes for as long as required by the Internal Revenue Service and Webull's policies and procedures. You want to make sure you have moved any funds out of the account by either withdrawing the money or paying Webull's transfer fees to move the stocks to another brokerage platform.

Monitor your email and your bank account after closing your Webull account to make sure it closes successfully. If you have more than one account with Webull, you can close one and keep the others open, or you can close and delete all the accounts at the same time. You can return to Webull at any time, but a deleted account cannot be reactivated. You will have to open a new account.
