I am contacting you on behalf of my mother in law. Her account number is ********* and phone number is ***-***-****. She is not to be contacted directly by Bell at this time as she is stressed out enough at this point and I am her Legal Representative and may be reached @ ***-***-**** or by e-mail at *****@***.com. She has had her telephone with Bell for over ** years. She transferred her TV service to Bell and this is what happened they told her she could not have Satellite service where she lived and she had to get the internet in order to make the tv work. They lied to her as Satellite is available. She did not want the internet just regular TV service. She has no computer never has she is ** years old and has no idea what the internet is and if you asked her what twitter is she would probably tell you a bird. When it was installed she told the tech she had no computer. Now Bell is charging her over **.** for internet services she does not use including over **.** for McAfee. She has tried on her own to fix this issue to no avail she is so stressed out with this situation and it stops now. I spoke with someone at the Loyalty department and he stated he could block off the internet....seriously why could not have done so after the many calls she made to Bell that she does not have a computer and has no use for the internet. Is it easier to take away close to a $***.** a month from senior citizens on pensions. Shame on you she deserves better after being a customer for all those years. Unfortunately, being a Licensed Paralegal I see this everyday and this is why I am pleased that CRTC is investigating these complaints as Bell are taking advantage and lying to these seniors and it must stop. **What would be appropriate in resolution of this matter would be for my mother in law to receive her TV service without any further bills for any internet services. Either by Fibe or Satellite service. And to be reimbursed for a service she was lied to about and did not require since ****.
