I purchased a trailer in Niland, CA, in March [redacted] and have the bill of sale and a partially completed title showing me as the new owner. Unfortunately, due to various circumstances and the impact of COVID-19, I have been unable to register the trailer in my name. Now, I need to sell it but can't proceed without the proper title. I have tried to contact the DMV without success and am currently unable to travel to the U.S. due to COVID-19 restrictions. The RV Park office manager is aware of my situation. I urgently need guidance on how to resolve this issue remotely as my financial and emotional well-being are suffering.

I had my license suspended in the 90s due to outstanding fix-it tickets that were sent to collections. Back then, there were no amnesty options available, and I had to pay the fines in full without the possibility of payment arrangements. In [redacted], I received a DUI without any accidents or injuries. Since then, I have accumulated a total of 14 driving on a suspended license charges, all without accidents, DUIs, or other moving violations. I have been attempting to reach out to the mandatory actions department to clear my record so I can enroll in a Track 1 class to obtain a restricted license until I complete the DUI class and regain my full license. I am a competent driver who unfortunately got caught in a cycle of financial difficulties and I am eager to restore my driving privileges. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Ms. M.L. Nattrass.

In [redacted], I received a DUI in California and completed my classes, but did not reinstate my license as I had moved out of state. In [redacted], I was in South Carolina and got a DWI, finishing classes and obtaining an SR-22 with my SC license. When I returned to California, the DMV did not recognize my Guam classes, so I redid classes in CA to regain my license in February [redacted]. Now, the DMV wants me to do an 18-month DUI class and use an interlock device, which is different from what I was originally informed. It's a bit confusing, and I'm seeking clarification on these new requirements after showing them my SC driving record.

I co-signed an auto loan with my granddaughter while living in California. The loan has been paid off, and I now have the Certificate of Title. Since we have relocated to Missouri and our granddaughter is now in Oklahoma, we are looking to transfer the Title to her name solely by removing mine. She made most monthly payments, and I settled the final payment. My involvement was due to her lower credit score at the time. The car has always been hers, and I never drove it. We seek advice on how to achieve this transfer. Your guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am Julie A. Church, and I have not received a response from the DMV regarding my application for a refund of vehicle registration fees. I sent the application in August [redacted] for my [redacted] Toyota Corolla with the license plate PRDNGRM and the last 5 digits of the VIN being [redacted]. I paid the renewal fees before the due date of 8/10/[redacted] to ensure they received it, but the car was donated on 8/7/[redacted] before the deadline. I submitted all necessary documents, including proof of payment and transfer forms. The recipient, Capital City Auto Auction, did not send the release of liability to the DMV until 10/23/[redacted], causing a delay. I recently filed the release online. Despite this, I received a "Notice of Intent to Suspend" my vehicle registration effective 11/30/[redacted] due to the oversight. I am seeking advice on how to expedite my $[redacted].00 refund.

My California driver's license is expiring on 12/2/[redacted]. I've completed the renewal process, which requires an eye exam and updated photo for the Real ID. However, I'm encountering issues submitting my documents online due to timeouts (Confirmation code CB95-13DA). I've tried contacting them by phone and online without success. Despite attempting to request an extension, I was deemed ineligible. With an upcoming out-of-state flight on 12/16 and an expired passport, I need a valid form of identification. Unfortunately, local DMVs don't operate on weekends. I'm struggling to reach someone for assistance or an update on my situation. Any guidance would be appreciated. - Tracy L.

Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation in Santa Clara County, I am seeking information on whether it's possible to delay payment of our registration renewal fees and postpone the smog tests until the health situation improves. An article in the San Jose Mercury highlighted that the CA DMV is allowing seniors with health concerns to pay the registration fees and hold off on obtaining the new registration sticker due to deferred smog testing. According to the article, law enforcement is not issuing citations for missing registration stickers as long as fees are paid on time. Despite reaching out to CSAA and the California COVID-19 Hotline without success, I have attempted to contact the DMV today but was unable to get through. Any assistance you can offer on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help! Best Regards, H.

Good afternoon, I am reaching out from AmeriCU Credit Union regarding a vehicle we hold a lien on. We have been attempting to contact the CA DMV for three weeks about this matter. The member originally lived in NY when they obtained the loan but has since relocated to CA. Our records suggest the vehicle is registered in CA but not titled. We require confirmation of this status and a letter from the CA DMV verifying that the vehicle is solely registered and not titled in CA. Despite our efforts, we have been unable to receive a response after weeks of calling. The automated message consistently advises of high call volume, urging us to retry later. I urgently need to engage with a representative either by phone or email to address this issue promptly. Kindly provide me with the contact information, including a name, phone number, and email, for a person who can assist with resolving this matter. Thank you for your cooperation. Brandi Y.

We purchased a travel trailer and gave it to our son. Unfortunately, our local county regulations do not permit anyone to live or stay in the trailer on our property. Our son is currently staying in it to avoid homelessness, however, we have received fines from the county for each month he stays. The trailer is still registered in the previous owner's name, as our son has not transferred ownership. As property owners and our son's parents, we are considering legally towing the trailer off our property to prevent further fines.

I have misplaced the title to my [redacted] Acura with license plate 5MTB262. While visiting my fireman son in Boston, MA, I was quarantined with my grandson. A friend lost the box containing important papers, including the title and registration. I am 73 years old and not in need of a license renewal, but I do need to switch to a MA license. I have been attempting to fill out forms online, but they keep disappearing, and there is no one available at the office to assist me with my specific situation. My registration has now lapsed, and despite my efforts over the past few weeks, I have not been able to speak with anyone for help.

I bought my [redacted] Honda Odyssey in June of this year, and the tags were due to expire in July, a month later. Despite not receiving new registration tags after the purchase, I assumed I needed to handle the renewal. My wife later renewed our registration on the official DMV site, but it's been 6 weeks with no tags or stickers arriving. When contacting the DMV, they mentioned we should have received new registration initially and not have needed to renew. I am requesting a refund for the renewal and fees paid, as well as the current registration tags and stickers for my vehicle. Thank you.

In [redacted], I was arrested for a DUI, but the judge dismissed the case. However, the DMV has continued to penalize me for the past 24 years. I am desperately seeking to regain my license as I am starting a business to support my family. Despite the incident, I have never been in an accident or harmed anyone while driving, whether intoxicated or sober. It has been two decades since the event, and I am pleading for the opportunity to move on. I have observed others serve shorter punishments for causing fatal accidents while under the influence. I kindly ask for your understanding and compassion in this matter. Restoring my license will allow me to fulfill my responsibilities as a father and contribute positively to my family. Warm regards, Gregorylbourdon

I submitted form [redacted] back in May and waited for 8 weeks. Unfortunately, I received nothing. I accidentally short paid by $2 and only realized it after waiting for 4 hours, 5 minutes, and 5 seconds on the phone to speak with an agent. Quickly, I went to the local DMV and paid the balance but was informed it would take another 6-8 weeks. After waiting, I was informed by customer service that the DMV doesn't forward mail. Due to the campfire incident, I now use a post office box. They advised me to reapply by filing a change of address form and a new form [redacted]. Despite following these instructions, I have yet to receive any response. I acknowledge the challenges your agency faces due to the pandemic. At this point, I just require a duplicate title. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

My California learner's permit expired almost a year ago, and I am looking to obtain a new one. I'm unsure if I need to redo the 30 hours of online permit practice to get the certificate required at the DMV, or if I can use my expired permit to take the permit test without repeating the practice hours. I visit the Riverside DMV on Brockton Avenue in Riverside, California.

In California, my license was suspended due to a failure to appear ticket for talking on the cell phone while driving. I have moved to Virginia and now need a VA license, but I don't have the CA license to surrender. I've paid the fine, but my driving privileges in CA are still revoked. I am currently in VA and trying to resolve this matter. Since offices are closed, I am unsure how to proceed to obtain a driver's license in my current state.

I realized I was late renewing my registration and sent in the payment along with a successful smog check proof. I got an email confirmation dated Sept. 18, [redacted], with order number [redacted]72 but haven't received the tags. This caused me to receive a ticket. What can I do to fix this and avoid more tickets? Your help is appreciated. Thank you. - B. J.

We are a leasing company based in NY and we lease a vehicle to a company in CA. We registered their [redacted] Toyota Camry without any issues until this year. The company has a business insurance policy and is exempt from electronic notifications to the DMV. They have always mailed a check along with the insurance card, but this year we are facing delays with the registration renewal. Our plate number is 7ZGZ623, and the car is owned by MTP in NY but registered to Zim Amer Integrated Shipping Services in CA. We sent the insurance card overnight as requested after the check was cashed in September, but it seems the DMV has not processed it yet.

I have a question about my driver's license. I completed my behind-the-wheel test 9 weeks ago and received my temporary license that same day. How long does it usually take to receive the physical card in the mail? I'm concerned because my temporary license is expiring in 2-3 weeks, and I'm not sure if I should contact the DMV yet. The DMV call services are currently unavailable due to the coronavirus situation, so I'm unsure if I need to visit the DMV in person to inquire about this issue. Typically, I believe the license arrives within a couple of weeks, but I wanted to check. Thank you.
