I am getting multiple charges on my credit card from the same provider. For instance, I bought gas which came out to be $**.** but was also charged $***.** at the same place! When I asked the manager there about it she said that the Banks of foreign cards (I’m in France) will place a certain amount first to see if the real transaction will go through, but $***??!! I also have multiple charges from an Uber ride I took on ****. Please explain to me what is happening. **Thank you, *Erin
