We purchased our house on June 15th, and the final walk-through was never completed. The siding on our house was loose, and the Hardy representative failed to address it. Dan has responded to some but not all of our issues. Today, we received a $[redacted] bill from the plumber for cleaning grease off the floats of the grinder pump, which we believe is unjustified as we don't pour grease down the sink. Additionally, we were billed for carpet fibers clogging a valve in the half bath, which doesn't make sense. I have contacted both Dan and Diane about these issues, but they haven't acknowledged me. Diane had promised to follow up on multiple items last week, such as the AC pad needing a riser. This billing situation has escalated my frustration, especially considering the ongoing siding problem. We expect all issues to be resolved to our satisfaction within the warranty period.

I am writing as Ricky S. Reyes to address two major concerns with the purchase agreement signed with D.R. Horton for a house in Sapphire Pointe, Duncan, SC. Firstly, despite being given an estimated completion timeframe of late August to early September, we discovered after three months that the lot we selected had a new completion date of November/December. These ongoing delays have led to unexpected expenses for short-term housing and storage, impacting us financially. Secondly, we were promised $3,[redacted] in closing cost incentives if we used the preferred lender, but upon comparison, the preferred lender's offer was not competitive, resulting in us using an outside lender and forfeiting the incentives. With the house still not ready after 10 months and no firm closing date, we have requested compensation for the hardships faced but have been denied. We are seeking intervention from the DR Horton Corporate office to address these issues, with a specific request for $2,[redacted] to cover additional expenses incurred. I am disappointed with D.R. Horton of Georgia. Not only did they deceive me by charging $[redacted] per diem at closing when we purchased our home in [redacted], but they also did a poor painting job on the fascia board of our exterior. I have lived in two homes before and have never experienced peeling paint on the fascia board within 2 years of being in a new home. I have identified 7 more homes in Kelly's Mill Subdivision in Cumming, Georgia, which was established in [redacted], experiencing the same issue with peeling paint on the fascia boards. Please address this poor workmanship by fixing the painting flaw. As a homeowner, I urge you to take responsibility and correct these issues promptly. You can reach me at [redacted] if needed. I am currently unemployed and should not have to endure this additional financial burden. I made a substantial down payment of at least $47,[redacted] from my 401k to purchase this house. I reside in Oak Glenn, Conway, South Carolina, and have some important issues to address regarding our community. The homes built by DR Horton Homes are architecturally pleasing, but there are problems that do not align with the HOA regulations. The management company, KC's, can be intimidating, and their business hours seem inconvenient. Despite my age and health concerns, I am determined to have these matters resolved. I have considered involving the Mayor to investigate the situation. I believe that expanding the garage by an additional 2 feet would greatly benefit residents with larger vehicles. This enhancement could be an appealing selling point for potential buyers. It is essential to uphold the community's standards and make necessary improvements for the well-being of all residents.

Dear Sir/Madam, I submitted an online ticket a few weeks ago and have not received a response. I bought my home at Windchase at Watergrass last year, located at [redacted] Timberview Loop. The microwave installed in my home is incorrect as it vents directly into the cabinet above, causing potential damage. I am not interested in a deflector as a solution. I would like the correct appliance installed in my kitchen as per the warranty. I believe DR Horton, as the builder, should address this issue promptly. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

I reside in Waterleigh Community Phase 1C at [redacted] Hampton Crossing Drive, Winter Garden, FL [redacted]. The sidewalk and cement entryway to my driveway are both severely cracked, while my garage floor has cracks in every quadrant, and there's a substantial gap in the garage wall. Despite contacting DR Horton, specifically Gary Pingol and his manager, no concrete action has been taken. Although they mentioned a pressure test on the cement, it's yet to happen. I am requesting the repair of the sidewalk and entryway as well as the application of epoxy and sealer on my garage floor to address all the cracks. However, I was informed that this would not be done without additional payment since it wasn't part of the original agreement. I find it frustrating to see discrepancies in treatment as my neighbor received this service without charge. I urgently need this issue resolved as I seem to be the only one in the neighborhood facing these extensive damages. Thank you for your assistance. Carlos Vaz.

I have a lot to share, which cannot fit here. I plan to write to Donald R. Horton to express my frustration as a first-time homebuyer dealing with Taya Roberts at D R Horton. Upon my realtor Kim Artis' recommendation, I trusted D R Horton, but my experience with Taya has been dreadful. Initially, she assured me regarding floor plan concerns, but this turned out to be false. She did not inform me of changes and displayed poor customer service. Furthermore, her boss's reluctance to address our concerns compounds the issue. I had intended to use all services from D R Horton, but the focus on profit over customer service is evident. This has been a terrible experience for a first-time homebuyer like myself.

My house, constructed by DR Horton in [redacted], recently had a leak in the kitchen drain sewer pipe. The plumber who repaired it mentioned that a missing strap caused the pipe to sag over time, leading to a slow leak in the ceiling and wall. This resulted in black mold, rotten wood, and significant damage, estimated at $10,[redacted]. Unfortunately, my insurance only covers $5,[redacted] for hidden pipe leaks. I believe DR Horton is accountable for these damages due to overlooking regulations and passing faulty plumbing inspections. I am seeking to discuss this matter with someone from DR Horton to address it through their insurance rather than pursuing legal action immediately. It is my hope that DR Horton will cover the remaining costs beyond what my insurance can compensate.

The house is located in the Brentmoor section of the Remington community at [redacted] Macintyre Street, Simpsonville, SC [redacted]. Unfortunately, there has been a foundation issue at the back corners, causing cracks in the bricks and a wall to pull away from a window. Mount Valley Foundation Services confirmed the sinking foundation, and repairs are scheduled for late May. However, the back-filled area was not properly prepared, leading to further sinking and instability in the foundation corners. The cost to stabilize the foundation is $7,[redacted]. I believe DR Horton is at fault for the improper construction of the footings. I am seeking advice on who to contact to address this matter promptly and avoid additional damage. Hello, For a year now, I've been dealing with a leaking window issue that no one seems to address. Despite multiple attempts, the problem persists with no resolution in sight. It's frustrating to have countless individuals visit to inspect the window without a solution. Even though some attempts were made to fix it, the window continues to leak. With over 60 houses built in the neighborhood by Dr. Horton in the past year, it's puzzling why this problem persists. I understand the one-year warranty on new houses, but the temporary fix using caulk on my backyard door missing wood feels inadequate. It's like patching up a car with tape instead of proper repairs. This lack of attention to detail is concerning, especially when I was dismissively told a leaking door is not a big issue. I've documented the issues in my 11-month claim with photos, and I'm at a loss for further steps. I just want these problems fixed promptly. I recently purchased a new air conditioner for my two-month-old house, but unfortunately, the regulator went bad, and the compressor wouldn't kick in to cool down the house. I attempted to contact customer service for assistance, but I didn't receive a response. Ultimately, I had to seek help from a specialist who works with the brand of the air conditioner. It turns out that Carrier air conditioners may have issues with cooling properly, even when they are new. I had to pay $85 out of pocket for the Carrier specialist to come to my house and fix the problem.

Hello, I am currently experiencing severe leaks in my windows and sliding door every time it rains. The situation is urgent, as I am constantly using towels to clean up the water and the window even seems to be giving way. It is crucial to have an emergency response scheduled to replace or repair the affected areas, including the front and back bedroom windows and the sliding glass door in the back of the house. I have a significant issue with erosion on a large pine straw hill on my property. The erosion began shortly after I moved in, causing sand and dirt to drain into my yard, creating large holes on the hill. Despite attempts to address the problem with junipers, it was determined that the hill was not properly filled, and my neighbor faced a similar situation. After multiple attempts, a retaining wall was finally approved and built for my neighbor by the Vice President of Construction, Mr. Rick Nanez. Despite my efforts to contact Mr. Nanez for the same solution, I have been unsuccessful for three months. I have continuously reached out via email and phone calls with no response. The warranty is offering to refill the hill and undertake landscaping work, which I appreciate, but I strongly desire a retaining wall like my neighbor's. This situation has caused significant stress since we moved in over a year ago. I would greatly appreciate assistance in resolving this issue promptly.

On June 10, [redacted], I submitted a warranty request for a buckling floor in our new DR Horton Home. Andrea Garrison issued WO [redacted]-[redacted] on the same day to have the floor repaired. A representative from ILG inspected the floor on July 9, [redacted], and mentioned he would send his report to DR Horton. Despite my efforts to follow-up through emails and messages, there were no updates from DR Horton. Mrs. Garrison finally responded in early August, mentioning she was waiting on the contractor's report. After I sent her a letter on August 14, [redacted], she informed me that the contractor needed to order materials before making repairs. It has been three months living with a buckled floor in the kitchen, which is unacceptable. I am frustrated with the lack of progress and demand a prompt resolution. I have been living in my DR Horton home for 14 months and am facing challenges getting my warranty repairs done. Despite sending the paperwork three times, they have not followed through with repairs for my cracked driveway, paint, caulking mess, scratched floors, cabinet door, and garage door issues. They have fixed only two problems over the 14 months, and even with a recent visit, the technicians seemed inexperienced and unhelpful. Dear Customer Service, I am reaching out concerning an issue we have been dealing with since July when we moved into our new home. The problem revolves around the irrigation system constantly running outside of the designated watering schedules of the city, leading to notices and fines. Despite attempts to get help from gardeners, they missed agreed-upon appointments, leaving the matter unresolved. Frustrated, I took it upon myself to disable the system until Mr. Stewart Siegel intervened and corrected the setup. He not only fixed the irrigation but also began investigating the inflated water bills and fines. I am requesting DR Horton to reimburse me for a portion of these charges. Despite Mr. Siegel's involvement, there seems to be a delay in resolving this matter due to his manager's unresponsiveness. I purchased my home at [redacted] Park Meadowbrooke Drive in January [redacted] and encountered issues with the warranty. After a year of waiting, the second story floors were finally fixed in April [redacted]. I was promised reimbursement of $[redacted] for moving expenses by Bruno from D R Horton, but it has been months and I have not received it. Despite multiple assurances that the check was in the mail, there has been no response from Nick Edds or Julia Evers. I just want the $[redacted] owed to me by the company.

I live in Cheyenne, SUB, Vacaville, CA. I recently bought a new home and am disappointed with the limited options available compared to previous releases in the same subdivision. Despite paying more than previous owners, I found that many designer options were not offered this time. I couldn't choose a glass front door, cherry wood cabinets, old-world finish on fireplace surrounds, brick liner or fan in the fireplace, bronze lever-style interior door hardware, or front door hardware. The prices for the available options have also increased, and I was refused any design credits. I feel that this information should have been shared before I made the purchase, especially since I paid a considerable amount more. I know that market conditions change, but I have noticed that these options are available in other communities by DR Horton, a large corporation. I wonder why they are not offered in Cheyenne. I hope that more options can be made available before my selection meeting on 11/9/19.
