I had a flight scheduled from JFK at 8:00 am on December 29, [redacted]. Despite arriving two hours early, the baggage drop-off line was excessively long. With only three agents working, the check-in counter was understaffed, resulting in delays for many customers. Despite having checked in and paid for my bag, I missed the baggage deadline by two minutes. After talking to a phone agent, my flight was rebooked for 4 pm. Meanwhile, I had to endure an 8-hour wait at the airport. While April, the counter agent, was helpful and apologetic, the overall experience left me hesitant about booking with Delta again. An upgrade to first class, access to the Delta Lounge, or a free ticket may help restore my confidence in the airline.

I've been hearing a lot about restricted masks on flights. I've heard that masks with escape valves are not allowed. What about using a negative-pressure, air-purifying respirator? It looks similar to a construction dust mask with filters that screw in, and it has a protection factor of 10 or higher. You breathe in outside air through the filters into the mask, and the purified air enters your lungs, with exhaled air going out below the chin. The diaphragm in the mask prevents the outside air from traveling back through the opening. Before using it, you can test it with a simple negative pressure test. The protection factor is typically 10 or higher, much better than a regular face mask which usually has a protection factor of 1. Additionally, it doesn't require any pumps or motors to operate.

Due to unforeseen vehicle issues, our departure from Redmond, OR was delayed from 1/31/[redacted] to 2/1/[redacted]. Despite efforts to resolve the mechanical problem on time, a part was unavailable, causing us to miss our flight. Delta accommodated us on a 7AM flight on 2/2/[redacted] but the seat upgrades we paid for were deemed non-refundable. The confusion and inconvenience have left us disappointed in Delta's handling of the situation. We are seeking resolution regarding the seat upgrades for both our departure and return flights on 2/2/[redacted] and 2/9/[redacted], or a refund of the Skymiles and money spent. This negative experience has us reconsidering future travel with Delta, especially as a recent flight with United Airlines was more satisfactory.

I booked a roundtrip flight with Delta Air Lines from ITH to PHX for April 13 to 27. The original flight times were suitable, but Delta later changed them to unacceptable times. After contacting Delta Customer Service, I was initially told I could get a refund, but later, I was informed that only a credit was possible. As an elderly traveler with my wife, arriving in PHX at 9 PM would be inconvenient, and leaving at 6 AM would be too early for us. I am disappointed in Delta's customer service and feel like I have no choice but to accept the new schedule. I believe there might be age discrimination at play. I am experiencing difficulty utilizing my ecredit to buy three tickets to Orlando in April. Despite having the confirmation/cancellation number and an available ecredit, the website does not allow me to select the credit for use. I am unable to proceed without choosing a minimum of one ticket due to a glitch occurring on various browsers. Unfortunately, while waiting for a callback, I was disconnected from the call service and missed the opportunity to book at a previous price, now increased by $80. I am feeling trapped and urgently need to finalize this trip. Additionally, even though my phone number is recognized by the call service and my ecredit is visible, I am unable to log in to my Delta account, which I had hoped might offer a solution to the problem mentioned above. -A.W.

I made a flight booking for my wife and myself, along with our two cats, traveling from Tampa International (TPA) to Portland Maine (PWM) on June 1st, [redacted]. The total cost for the flight, including upgrades and taxes, was $[redacted].40. Due to traveling with our cats, I needed to ensure there was space available for them on the flight. After contacting Delta Reservations and speaking to a representative, I was initially quoted a lower price online. However, upon receiving my account statement, I noticed I was overcharged by almost $[redacted]. After addressing this with the representative, he agreed to refund $[redacted], but the refund has not yet appeared in my account.

I attempted to book a reservation online for a flight from ATL to BOM departing on 05/26 and returning on 06/10 for 2 adults. After submitting my payment information, I received an error message regarding the payment. However, my credit card has been charged the full amount. Despite this, Delta Airlines does not show any reservation on their end. I have spent over 3 hours trying to contact Delta's customer service with no success. I recently got approved for a Sky Miles Credit Card from American Express while booking a flight. To use the card for my ticket purchase, I need to verify my identity to obtain the new card number. The verification process involves receiving the number via text on my mobile phone. However, my phone is a landline and can't receive texts. Upon unpacking our bags last night after returning home, we discovered that our brand-new GO PRO 7, purchased from Best Buy, was missing. The GO PRO was unused during our trip and was stored in its bag along with a jewelry box inside the same luggage. The jewelry box was found open, but thankfully no items were missing. The GO PRO bag was also opened, with its contents scattered inside. We suspect the incident occurred during the first leg of our trip on AEROMEXICO flight #[redacted] from CUN to MEX on Sat 27 MAR [redacted], followed by flights from MEX to ATL and ATL to TRI on the same day. Given the security concerns at CUN airport, we believe airport staff may have been involved. I am seeking guidance on how to proceed with Delta as this trip was booked through DeltaVacations. Delta Airlines has recently stated its position on the Election Integrity law in Georgia. As a result, my family has made the decision to no longer fly with Delta Airlines for personal or business travel. We cannot support an organization that aligns with electoral practices we disagree with. It's disappointing that Delta has taken this stance, as many of their former Conservative customers value Election Integrity and Fairness. As someone who has advocated for American big businesses against attacks from the Left, it's disheartening to see Delta join forces against the beliefs of a majority of Americans. After reviewing the Georgia election reform bill and the Delta CEO's response, I am appalled by the blatant misrepresentation Delta is perpetuating about the law. It's essential to have identification and safety measures, so Delta should reconsider requiring IDs to board planes if they support these measures. They should also rethink the online booking system and boarding pass printing since verifying identity is crucial. Invasive procedures like X-rays for luggage should be eliminated due to privacy concerns. These obstacles create unnecessary inconvenience for the public. If Delta believes in secure elections, they should apply the same standards to their policies. The public is tired of corporations virtue signaling, especially when a majority wants fair elections. My family will no longer choose Delta. We value integrity and won't support a company with double standards and contempt for customers.

I am disappointed in the recent response from the CEO regarding the new voting laws. Ed Bastien's statements show ignorance about the law and the recent election, which is unacceptable. CEOs should stay out of politics. The legislature cutting millions of dollars in tax breaks for Delta, combined with customers like myself who frequently fly internationally in Business and First Class, may lead to choosing another airline over Delta if it is the only option available. Perhaps it's time for the board to consider parting ways with Ed. "Go woke, go broke." I would like Delta to issue an apology for the CEO's remarks. I am concerned that Delta is delving into politics instead of focusing on flying planes. I am a loyal customer who plans to travel to see my family soon, and I had intended to choose Delta for my flights. However, I urge Delta to prioritize flying planes over political matters such as what's happening in Georgia. Please remember that many silent supporters like me pay attention to how companies operate and may choose to take our business elsewhere if we disagree with your actions. Please don't give in to vocal protesters and political pressure, as seen in past cases with Hobby Lobby, Goya beans, and Chick-fil-A. Conservatives value fairness and doing what's right. It's disheartening to see companies bow to paid protesters without considering the silent majority's opinions. I also wonder about the impact of corporate donations to groups like BLM and hope to see more support for programs that benefit young people from all backgrounds, offering them alternatives to gangs and drugs. I am deeply disappointed by Delta's stance on Georgia's voter integrity law. I believe the law aims to uphold election integrity rather than suppress votes. Most Americans support the requirement for a picture ID to vote, similar to Delta's ID requirement for boarding flights. The law offers early voting, voting by mail, and extended voting hours, including Sundays, with monitored drop boxes. President Biden's misrepresentation of the law is concerning. I feel frustrated that Delta is influencing political matters rather than focusing on their airline services. As a result, my family and I have decided to choose other airlines that prioritize safe, timely, and reasonably priced flights instead of interfering in democratic processes.

I'm disappointed to hear that Delta has taken a political stance. I will no longer choose to fly with them. I have always had to show my ID when flying with Delta or any other airline, so this additional requirement is frustrating. Companies that cater to the public should remain neutral. Many Americans, myself included, stopped watching NFL games when they allowed kneeling during the Anthem. This cancel culture is damaging our country. It's important to stop attributing every issue to racism or white supremacy, as it only worsens the situation. People are exhausted with being labeled as racist constantly.

Dear Delta, I am disappointed in how the CEO handled the recent Georgia election issue. As a shareholder, I have appreciated the service Delta provided in the past and have regarded the airline's management as one of the best in the industry. However, witnessing the CEO's shift from acknowledging voting concerns to succumbing to cancel culture pressure has led me to decide not to fly with Delta again. It saddens me as Delta offers the only non-stop flight between Tampa and St. Paul, where my grandchildren reside. Despite this, I cannot support a company that bows down to the left's unethical tactics. The irony of Delta's ID requirements for flying versus objections to voter ID laws is not lost on me. I believe compliance with such demands will never satisfy the left and only emboldens their behavior. Unfortunately, this means parting ways with Delta. My partner and I are loyal Delta Members with membership numbers [redacted] and [redacted]. I have flown nearly a million miles with Delta. Our concern with Delta is their lack of support for the new voting laws in Georgia. We believe there were fraudulent activities in the last election, such as ballot drops at 3AM and discrepancies with ballot counting. We are disappointed in the decisions made by the company. As veterans, we disagree with recent political actions and media coverage. We are considering supporting other airlines in our area and have switched to Pepsi and Lowes for their veteran discounts. The recent political changes in Georgia have influenced our views on the situation. Perhaps Delta can consider offering support to immigrants. I am urging Delta Airlines to stop pressuring the state of Georgia and its legislators regarding voting rights. Delta's recent actions seem like corporate bullying and political pandering to cancel culture. The decision to influence MLB to move out of Georgia due to voting laws seems like a bullying tactic. Shareholders should reconsider these tactics as American citizens may not support them. I plan to inform my representatives about Delta's behavior and will not support the airline in the future. I will also suggest using other airlines to people I know who travel.
