Dear Customer Service, I am reaching out regarding a pressing issue I am experiencing with rebooking my flight. I am currently in a frustrating situation as I try to adjust my itinerary due to travel changes. My husband and I have encountered a significant discrepancy in the change fees between booking with Expedia and directly through Air Canada. While my husband had a smooth experience changing his flight with Air Canada, my attempts with Expedia have been nothing short of a nightmare. I have made numerous calls, enduring long wait times and unhelpful responses from Expedia representatives. The contrast in service quality between the two providers has been astounding. As a loyal customer, the level of stress and difficulty I have faced throughout this process has been unacceptable. The recent flight cancellation announcement from MEA only adds to my urgency in resolving this matter promptly. On April 9th, I made a room booking online for a stay at La Quinta in Huntsville, Alabama, under the name Paula J., contact number [redacted], and email [redacted] My itinerary number is [redacted][redacted]. I would like to express my extreme frustration with Expedia's customer service, as I have been trying to resolve an issue with my refund for over 10 days now. Despite being assured that I would receive a refund without penalties, I have yet to see any reimbursement. Communication has been non-existent, with no returned calls or assistance provided. I attempted to book The Pyramid at Grand Cancun- All Inclusive through Expedia for three adults from May 23-27, [redacted], for a total of $2,[redacted].17. After entering all the travelers' details, I encountered an issue when submitting my card information. It initially didn't accept my card, so I added my middle name and tried again. Surprisingly, my card was charged $1,[redacted].14, which was not the full trip amount, causing confusion. Despite the charge going through, I received an error message stating the booking couldn't be completed. Now, I'm unsure where my money went and why the charge processed with an error. I've attempted to contact Expedia, but only reached automated responses. When trying to discuss billing, I was prompted for an itinerary number, which I don't have due to the unsuccessful booking. I attempted to book a flight from Dallas to Mexico in June using Expedia. After completing the booking process and clicking submit, the loading screen appeared to verify the details. However, it took longer than expected and eventually displayed an error message. I tried to refresh the page with no success. When I checked my trips on my profile, it showed as unavailable with dates from 1/1/[redacted] to 1/1/[redacted]. I didn't receive a confirmation email either. Upon reviewing my bank account, I noticed two separate charges but no ticket. Unfortunately, as I don't have a valid itinerary number, I am unable to speak with a customer service representative. I reserved flights, hotel, and airport shuttle to Cancun through Expedia. Today, I traveled from Boston to Ft Lauderdale for a connecting flight to Cancun. Unfortunately, I was unable to board the flight to Cancun because the tickets were under "Larry Bouchie" while my passport reads "Lawrence Bouchie." Jetblue mentioned they couldn't modify the name on the existing tickets, so they advised canceling the tickets and possibly rebooking for a flight to Cancun tomorrow, depending on availability. Instead, I'm heading back to Boston tonight and attempting to contact Expedia to cancel my Cancun hotel reservation, return flights, and a hotel in Philadelphia. However, I've been on hold with Expedia phone support for 37 minutes without any success.

I made a flight reservation for my family of four to Japan through Expedia on December 29, [redacted], with Itinerary # [redacted][redacted]. Unfortunately, the flight was canceled by United Airlines on April 1 due to COVID-19, and we were issued a credit. I am scheduled to fly out tomorrow, and I noticed that my middle initial is incorrect on my itinerary. Despite previous efforts to correct this error, it still persists. I am concerned that this discrepancy may prevent me from boarding the flight, as it does not match the information on my state-issued ID. I have been proactive in trying to rectify this issue, reaching out to both Expedia and airline representatives with no success. I have been struggling to reach customer service for a whole day, trying multiple phone numbers, even waiting for 40 minutes at one point. I'm reaching out here for help. Our car rental got canceled, and when we tried to rebook the same vehicle, it turned out to be much more expensive than we had budgeted for. The representative at the FOX counter explained that the price increase was because we were 3 hours late. However, our delay was due to a schedule change by American Airlines and a mechanical issue with the new plane, not by choice. We waited a long time in the shuttle hut, had a lengthy drive to the Fox rent a car office, and then had to endure a long line at the counter. We were just a few minutes past the time limit at the counter, even though we were already at FOX within the 3-hour window. The counter staff was unsympathetic and blamed our booking through Expedia. With no other options in sight at the remote location, we had to pay the extra charges, which have caused unexpected financial strain during our vacation. I kindly request a refund of the price difference to alleviate this situation. This experience has not set a good tone for our wedding weekend. Thank you for your understanding.

I made a reservation for a two-night stay at The Hampton Inn in Phoenix Anthem, AZ. Unfortunately, on the second day, we had no hot water in our room. After a long day at work, we returned to the hotel to find the issue unresolved despite reporting it to the front desk. Due to the lack of hot water and no immediate solution, we decided to check out early. I contacted Expedia to request a refund for one night due to the inconvenience. Despite being promised a call back from a representative to address my concerns, I have not received any assistance even after multiple attempts to reach them. I am disappointed by the lack of customer service, especially since I had trip insurance for instances like this.

I recently attempted to book a package to Punta Cana for myself and a partner but encountered errors through Expedia. Despite the unsuccessful booking, charges were made by Jetblue and Delta to both our accounts, totaling $[redacted] and $[redacted] respectively. I made a hotel reservation through hotels.com, but I did not receive a confirmation email or number. Unable to cancel without this information, I now have a charge on my bank statement from the hotel. Despite reaching out to hotels.com and visiting the hotel, I discovered the booking was made through Expedia. Unfortunately, Expedia is unable to locate the reservation as well. The hotel cannot refund me without confirmation from Expedia, and my bank requires written notice from Expedia to dispute the charge. Feeling extremely frustrated and defeated by this situation.

I had two hotel reservations through Expedia that were impacted by Covid. I canceled both bookings but was still charged for one of them. Despite providing the itinerary numbers for reference, the chat support and phone call with Expedia were unhelpful and led to long wait times and poor connections. After multiple attempts, my issue remains unresolved and I am frustrated with the lack of organization and service from Expedia. I need both reservations canceled and a refund issued promptly. Dealing with this has been a huge waste of my time and I am considering involving my credit card company to resolve the matter.

Upon arriving at the hotel, we parked the car only to find syringes in the parking lot. Upon entering the hotel, I inquired about breakfast timing, only to be informed that breakfast was not being served. Furthermore, when I asked about pool hours, I was told that the pool was closed. The main reason for choosing to stay here was the indoor pool and breakfast service. However, the front desk attendant was incredibly rude and suggested I didn't have to stay if I didn't want to. Despite these issues, Expedia won't refund my prepaid $[redacted] plus tax and a $9 fee. The hotel feels unsafe for my children, with filthy rooms, a small TV, stained towels, marked bedding, and a strong cigarette smell. I urgently need a full refund to relocate to another, more suitable local hotel promptly.

I need assistance canceling a hotel reservation for my elderly father-in-law, John Austin. He doesn't have an email address or a confirmation number but Travelodge has his reservation details. I was charged $[redacted].90 by Expedia on Apr 20 for a plane and rental car booking with Spirit and Thrifty. Following that, Spirit charged me $[redacted].98 on Apr 21 for a round trip from Sarasota to Indianapolis, and Thrifty charged me $[redacted].22 on Apr 27 for the rental. I believe Expedia should refund the $[redacted].90 as both the airline and car rental companies received separate payments. I appreciate your time and assistance in resolving this billing issue. Hello, I made a purchase through Expedia on April 11th of this year ([redacted]). The purchase included a total of 3 flights, which had to be cancelled immediately because they were selected for the wrong date and time, as well as a spelling error in the name. The cancellation was done within the 24-hour window, which entitled me to a FULL refund. However, out of the three cancelled flights, I have only received a refund from DELTA so far. I have yet to receive anything from JET BLUE, and when I called, they informed me that you are responsible for processing the payments. They mentioned a timeframe of 7-10 days. On the afternoon of Friday, April 30th, I spoke with an Expedia representative based in Phoenix regarding booking a flight from Tallahassee, FL to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The representative assisted me in using two flight credits totaling $[redacted].11 each from previously cancelled American Airlines round trip tickets, itinerary [redacted][redacted] last May from Tallahassee to San Francisco. I provided my credit card information to cover the remaining balance. The agent assured me I would receive a confirmation within 24 to 48 hours, but I have not received it yet. Despite trying Expedia's website, virtual agent, and phone options, I couldn't find any booking details as I lack an itinerary number for the new reservation. Unfortunately, I couldn't connect with a live agent to address this issue promptly. I urgently need to verify the booking at the agreed-upon price.
