I am inquiring about my son, Eric S., who passed away at age 7 on July 11, [redacted]. Following his passing, we arranged for his cremation at Gutterman Funeral in RVC as we had expressed our wish to have his ashes scattered in Colorado. Upon contacting Gutterman after a long time, I was informed that Eric's remains were not collected and were subsequently "disposed of." This was distressing news, especially because I was never notified about this issue despite them having my contact details. My main concern now is determining the whereabouts of his unclaimed remains. I reached out to Mr. Gutterman, detailing my situation and seeking clarity on how and where my son's remains were handled. Unfortunately, I have yet to receive a response from them. I am simply looking for closure and to know where my son's remains were laid to rest. I am aware that some funeral homes retain unclaimed remains indefinitely or have specific areas in cemeteries for such cases. As this remains unresolved, I would like assistance in discovering the location of Eric's final resting place. Thank you for any help you can provide. Sincerely, Michael S.

Dear Editor, I'm writing you to share my disappointment with the editorial direction of Newsday. After being a subscriber for many years, I have decided to cancel my subscription due to the extreme bias and one-sided reporting that has become prevalent in your publication. Your focus on negative portrayals of President Trump and the lack of balanced viewpoints have led me to no longer wish to have Newsday in my home. The predictability of your articles and the offensive nature of the cartoons by Matt Davies have contributed to my decision. It is disheartening to see a once-reputable newspaper devolve into a platform for partisan agendas rather than a source of objective news. I hope for a return to unbiased reporting and a renewed dedication to journalistic integrity in your editorial team. Sincerely, Wallace G. As a loyal Newsday subscriber for over 20 years, my experience with the delivery service has been generally good across the two homes we've had. However, in the past six months, we've been facing issues with significantly delayed and unpredictable delivery times, causing inconvenience as my wife and I rely on the paper for our morning routine before work. The usual arrival time of 5:30AM-6AM is no longer consistent, sometimes not even arriving before we leave at 6:45AM. We have been patient, considering potential temporary reasons for the delays, but we now urgently request that this problem be resolved. If the timely delivery cannot be guaranteed, we may have to cancel our subscription and seek an alternative. We hope for a prompt resolution without any repeat of past incidents like finding the paper in inconvenient spots, possibly related to the delivery person's expectations of tips. Despite our dissatisfaction, we remain hopeful that our concerns will be addressed with a clear plan of action. Otherwise, we may resort to purchasing Newsday from local stores occasionally. Thank you. Richard B. Dix Hills NY [redacted]

I am William Chiaiese, a veteran in the hospital for back surgery. I provided a list of prescribed medications, but the hospital refused to administer my long-lasting and fast-acting insulin as per my endocrinologist's orders. The hospital doctors insisted on using their own sliding scale and were disrespectful when questioned about it. Even mentioning my background as a retired scientist from the US Navy did not help. I am seeking assistance in understanding why the doctors are not following my doctor's prescriptions. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I am writing for the second time regarding one of your drivers in Massapequa Park, NY. The delivery person drives a red car with a license plate starting with GAD. Today, near Massachusettes and 1st Avenue, this driver almost caused an accident. While I was riding my bike, she ran a stop sign and made a wide right turn, nearly hitting me around 5:15 am. She did not even make a rolling stop but accelerated through the turn. I have previously contacted you about this same driver a few months ago. This individual's reckless driving is dangerous, and I fear for the safety of others. I can easily identify her, her vehicle, and her daily route since I see her frequently. I urge you to take decisive action to address this issue. In the meantime, I will consider reaching out to local authorities and news outlets if necessary. Please inform me of your intended course of action so I can proceed accordingly. Thank you. Sincerely, M. Hecht.

Contacting Customer Service has been an ongoing challenge, as the automated system indicates the office is closed every time I attempt to call. My subscription was erroneously renewed at a higher rate of $61.93 instead of the agreed upon $44.72. I am seeking a refund for the difference and wish to maintain my initial subscription plan. If unable to adjust the rate, I would like to cancel my subscription. After being a dedicated customer for over a decade, I would appreciate a timely resolution. Please reach out to me directly for further discussion at [redacted]. Thank you for your assistance.

I recently went to School District Office 10's Family Welcome Center at Dodge H.S. in the Bronx to get an enrollment letter for my son for second grade, received on September 18, [redacted]. Despite getting approval from the supervisor for P. S. 24, they refused to accept my son, claiming the worker was wrong. My son, initially accepted at Success Academy, was placed back in first grade without our knowledge causing distress. After reaching out to various offices, including the Public Advocate and my councilman, we are still struggling to get him into school. Elijah, who is seven years old, has been out of school for four days now. We are hoping for assistance in getting P. S. 24 to honor the enrollment letter and accept my son.

I'd like to share my experience with trying to sign up for the $1.49 a week special for Sunday paper delivery with digital access. My only request was to have the paper placed between my storm door and house door due to a ramp in front of my house as I am handicapped. Unfortunately, the person I spoke to insisted on checking with the manager in my area, and they refused to accommodate my simple request, opting to throw the paper on the ramp instead. This lack of understanding and compassion was disappointing. In contrast, the workers from the Daily News were more than willing to assist me. It's disheartening to encounter such indifference from your employees.

I have contacted Newsday multiple times about the recurring problem of not receiving the weekly supermarket flyers on holiday weeks despite assurances from managers that it would be fixed. I reside at [redacted] Daniel Road North, N Massapequa, NY, located between house numbers [redacted] and [redacted]. This ongoing issue has persisted for too long, leading me to request immediate action to ensure I receive the upcoming holiday sale flyers consistently. I hope that by outlining my concerns here, the matter will be resolved promptly. It is important for me to receive these flyers regularly, like my neighbors do, and I anticipate a resolution for this ongoing problem. Thank you for addressing this matter and confirming that I will receive the supermarket flyers during holiday weeks moving forward. Your attention to this matter is greatly appreciated. Thank you. I reside in Dix Hills, N.Y. My water bill for the first six months of the year was $[redacted].50, which I find to be quite high. However, the water bill for the summer of [redacted] skyrocketed to $[redacted].25, which I believe is excessive. When I contacted Dix Hills Water regarding this bill, they explained that despite using the same amount of water as in previous years, there had been a substantial rate increase. This seems unjustified to me. Is this a sneaky tactic by the town of Huntington to squeeze more money out of its residents due to tax limitations? It's frustrating and contributes to the ongoing trend of people leaving New York, particularly Long Island. Please reach out to me via the provided email. Thank you.

I am suggesting a news story of utmost importance that requires more reporting and investigation regarding national security, financial markets, and environmental protection. This matter was reported on "60 Minutes" last night and can be found on Google dating back to the Clinton administration. It involves mining the ocean floor for mineral nodules off the coast of Hawaii. On July 22, Republicans blocked the bill allowing the USA to join the UN Treaty. This issue needs timely reporting before it's too late. China holds the largest sections, assigned by the UN, while Russia, Canada, and France have all benefitted. Each nodule mined contains enough minerals for millions of electric cars, cell phones, and more. Time is crucial for the USA to claim any section. The Republicans who blocked the bill need to be exposed for their involvement in this corruption and the serious consequences mentioned earlier. I urge you to investigate and report on this matter. Your coverage and exposure of this story will shape America's future. Thank you.

I placed an order for paper online on Monday, 12/2/19. The first paper arrived on Thursday, 12/5/19; the second paper on Friday, 12/6/19, and there was no paper on Saturday, 12/7/19. My concern is with the payment information provided when I signed up on the same night, stating I would be charged $2.49 per week for 12 months with the first eight weeks charged upfront and subsequent charges every two months. However, my credit card was billed $[redacted].49, not aligning with the terms stated. Additionally, I was a customer of Newsday in [redacted], and in December of that year, after paying $24 per month in advance, I only received two out of the four weeks paid for.

I have a Sunday home delivery subscription, and I still haven't received my paper. There was an issue with my payment card, and despite giving the correct details over the phone, it seems they haven't updated it. I make payments when contacted but each time I specify to use the new card. I'm frustrated by the lack of updates. I called in to explain the card details changed, but it seems the updates were not made. I don't understand why I'm having these problems. I want to receive my Sunday paper without the hassle of calling repeatedly to update payment information.

I am looking to acquire a photo from your June 3, [redacted] newspaper's high school sports section. The photo I am searching for is from the Nassau County Championship baseball game between Division and Clarke High School. This particular picture captures my son, the pitcher, and his friend, the catcher, after the last pitch. I have been attempting different ways to secure two copies of this photo as a Christmas gift. Please inform me if you can assist me in obtaining these images. Thank you.

I have an unusual request, and I apologize for it. In [redacted], I was quoted and photographed in a feature article regarding a Ponzi scheme on Long Island by Agape World. I believe Albert Smith was the writer of the piece. My name is Dennis Hand, and I am interested in acquiring a copy of that story for my family history collection. I would appreciate any assistance or attention you could provide on this matter. Thank you for your help. Best regards, Dennis Hand

I am frustrated trying to reach Newsday's customer service. The long phone wait and the failed call back service are exasperating. After being abruptly disconnected during my first call when transferred to the digital division, I am still unable to access Newsday online as a home-delivery subscriber. Instead, I frequently encounter a blank screen on the home page or while trying to view articles. I am using a Mac with Safari, my usual browser, which operates well with other websites. Why is this happening, and what steps can I take to resolve this issue? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I am writing to share a human interest story about our show choir, preparing for the ninth annual charity event benefiting ALS Ride For Life in honor of Chris Pendergast. We have a talented student who, despite a successful career in entertainment, chooses to attend public school. He has appeared in prominent roles in "The Lion King" and on Broadway, featured in a national Tide commercial, and stars in the OWN network series "David Makes Man." This student will also perform at our upcoming concert, "Have A Heart & Make A Joyful Noise 9" on February 1st. Our choir works hard in Central Islip, supporting students from challenging backgrounds. I hope to bring recognition to our talented student and the choir for their dedication. For more information, please visit www.joyfulcharities.com. Thank you for your assistance. Blessings, Jeanine Ecklund, Show Choir Choreographer and Concert Director.

I reside at 35 Forest Ave in West Babylon, zip code [redacted]. As seniors, my spouse and I greatly value our newspaper home delivery. However, we have encountered an issue with the new delivery driver. Instead of placing the paper on our porch like the previous driver did, the current one leaves it in the middle or at the end of our long driveway. This arrangement causes us concern about slipping or falling when retrieving the paper early in the morning. Kindly investigate this matter and request the driver to place the paper on our porch for our safety and convenience. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Sincerely, The Gaimaro's.

Hello, I am Songyol Kim and I work at H Mart in Jericho. My coworker, David Shin from the Western Grocery Department, received a warning notice on December 31, [redacted], without adequate explanation or evidence from the department manager, Lee. David expressed his frustration in front of the customer service desk as the manager failed to provide any concrete reasons for the warning, relying solely on personal judgment. This incident seems like an instance of management harassing an employee without valid cause. I am concerned about preventing such unfair treatment in the future at our workplace and hope for your assistance in addressing this issue to ensure H Mart upholds fairness. I am standing by David and contemplating a strike to bring attention to this matter. Starting the new year with this kind of stress is unfortunate. If you have any questions, feel free to reach me at my phone number [redacted]. Thank you.

After surviving a coma, cancer, and viral heart failure, we are facing financial difficulties. We have never tipped our delivery person due to the impact it has on being able to afford a meal for our family. Our new delivery person consistently places our mail far under our cars, making it difficult for us to retrieve without contorting ourselves. This behavior feels vindictive, and I am considering canceling our service due to this unpleasant treatment. Despite our health challenges leading to financial strain, we still strive to help by making blankets for children in need. We have no intention of upsetting the hard-working delivery person, but the stress from their actions is unnecessary. While I appreciate his efforts, this behavior is not a positive experience for us.
