I submitted the necessary paperwork for my driver's license suspension appointment in June [redacted]. I included a $50.00 check, which was cashed after the registry reopened. I talked to multiple agents at the RMV, who mentioned delays of up to a year due to the shutdowns. I have called the call center and spoken to three ladies who informed me that the information for a hearing was in the system. After speaking to an agent in Boston, I was told I would be notified when the hearings resume. I urgently need to confirm if I have a scheduled suspension hearing as I rely on others for transportation. Please assist in resolving this matter. Francis R.J. I am the executor for an estate. I have transferred a car that belonged to the deceased's brother from MA, where it is currently located, to OH, his permanent address. The car, originally registered to Peter Demers who passed away on January 10, [redacted], is now part of the estate of Steven D. Lyons, who passed away on March 21, [redacted]. I possess the necessary documentation including the Power of Attorney, death certificates, and ownership papers for Steven D. Lyons LLC, proving ownership of the vehicle by the Trust of Steven D. Lyons. I have been attempting to handle the title and registration since March, as the car needs to be legally registered before its move to OH in June. Unfortunately, there are no available appointments in Yarmouth. I need assistance in securing an appointment at a different location where I can submit all the required paperwork for the car. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Dear RMV, I need help understanding what steps are required to reinstate my suspended Massachusetts License. I had a Massachusetts License which got suspended in New Hampshire due to a Breathalyzer Refusal, causing a reciprocal suspension in Massachusetts as well. My NH suspension ends on May 25, [redacted], with the Restoration Date being May 26, [redacted]. I plan to collect my NH Clearance Letter on May 26, [redacted], in Nashua. To finalize reinstating my license in Massachusetts, I believe I should visit www.mass.gov/rmv and select “Online Service Center.” From there, I should pick “Submit Out of State Reciprocal Suspension Request” and follow the instructions provided, including uploading the NH Clearance Letter. After 3 to 5 business days, I should receive an email confirming my eligibility. The email will contain a link to pay the $[redacted] Reinstatement Fee and complete the process online. I am a little confused by the conflicting information on the RMV website, especially regarding the need to visit a Hearings Officer and submit additional documents for alcohol or drug offenses. Do I indeed have to do this, or will uploading the NH Clearance Letter suffice? Thank you, David A.

I received a text notification from your system today at 2:39PM regarding pending renewal fees. I attempted to access the provided mini URL without success. When I checked my account on massrmv.gov, a message instructed me to contact [redacted]. Unfortunately, the phone system proved challenging as it repeatedly looped me back to the start. It would be helpful if the system could clarify the issue like a payment decline and reset the registration process. Alternatively, providing an option to speak with a representative would be beneficial. Below are details of the vehicle in question and the notification prompting me to call regarding the registration renewal.

I lost my car due to missed payments after breaking my arm and staying in Beth Israel Hospital for two weeks. TD Auto Finance repossessed my vehicle without notice, leaving me without a car. As a result, I no longer require Liberty Mutual Insurance. I request that the automatic deduction of $80.12 from my account be stopped, starting in July. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Meryl W. 68 Cedar Street Norwood, MA [redacted]

I have encountered an issue with the RMV showing an outstanding Pay by Plate ticket. Even though EZdriveMa indicates that I owe $0.00 and the invoice number # [redacted] at the RMV is invalid, it seems like there might be a mix-up with my credit balance showing as a balance owed. This mix-up is causing a delay in transferring my plates to my new vehicle. Despite multiple attempts to contact both parties via phone calls and emails over the last 10 days, I have not received any response. I urgently need to have this invalid invoice removed from my account to proceed with my registration process.

Due to being quarantined overseas, I submitted my vehicle registration renewal application by mail to the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles. Included is a $60.00 check, a color copy of my Swiss Driver's License, a passport copy showing my departure from the US on June 23, [redacted]. Unfortunately, due to the ongoing global pandemic restrictions, I cannot return to the US for an in-person renewal. I provided all necessary documentation through my local representative, Richard Montague. However, the RMV returned everything without explanation. Attempting to renew online is not an option as it requires an in-person visit, leading to an impossible situation. My son-in-law, who is in Yarmouth, is also struggling to secure an appointment at the RMV. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, EK

I am concerned about my stepfather, Francis Sheehan, aged 95, residing at 8 Stone Farm Lane, South Hadley. Despite my mother's reluctance to speak up, I have heard of many instances of his unsafe driving and near accidents. His cardiologist deemed him fit to drive solely based on his ability to visit their office, which is worrisome. His daughter's efforts to discourage him and report his driving to the authorities have been unsuccessful. I believe it is essential to request an evaluation or driving test for his safety, my mother's, and others on the road. Thank you, Thomas Bassett.

I am planning to transfer the registration of a Toyota 4Runner from my name to my son's name. This is necessary as my son is moving from Plymouth to Stoughton on August 3rd, and we are organizing the insurance. I want to ensure I follow the correct steps. I have the title number from the car registration but am currently unable to locate the title or bill of sale. I have completed the other necessary paperwork and will have the insurance company stamp the application. I have also filled out the sales tax exemption form. Can I obtain a duplicate title during the transfer process, or do I need to do that beforehand? I am unable to finalize the application without the title date, which has me feeling a bit stuck. Thank you for your assistance. - Carol Bonner Saulny

I had scheduled a road test for my daughter in Wilmington, MA, on Oct. 30, [redacted]. Unfortunately, she couldn't take the test due to anxiety, and the proctor (Sean) assured us he would credit the $35 fee we had prepaid. Surprisingly, when we tried to schedule her next test, we were told there was a $0 balance instead of a $35 credit. As a family on a tight budget, it's frustrating that the promised credit wasn't applied, leaving my daughter unable to schedule her test for over a year. I ended up paying the balance, but now face another $35 fee to reschedule. Attempts to resolve this by phone were unsuccessful as I was directed to the wrong department. On a separate note, my daughter was enrolled in road lessons at the North Andover Auto School before it closed due to the owner's misconduct. We submitted a Claim for Restitution form on 12-30-[redacted] and have not received any updates or refunds. This situation has put a strain on our finances, and I would appreciate any information on the status of the refunds. Thank you for your assistance.

I was charged in Pelham, New Hampshire on August 26th. The officers said they smelled alcohol, but I don't drink. I took a breathalyzer, passed it, yet they still charged me. I declined a blood test due to the pandemic concerns. Now, I can't renew my license in Massachusetts as it's suspended in New Hampshire, despite no court date. I went for an appeal in Massachusetts; they emailed a security code last night, but I'm now asked for a clearance letter. New Hampshire automatically suspends the license for [redacted] days; however, I haven't been to court yet. Massachusetts registry says I'm not guilty, but the process is confusing and frustrating. It's been almost a year without a license just because my van got stuck. The situation is more complex, but it's challenging to explain it all.

I needed to contact the Massachusetts RMV to renew my registration. I couldn't do it online due to a non-renewal status on my registration. To speak to a representative, I had to endure a lengthy automated phone system. Each time I called, there was a four-minute recording of FAQs before I could select registration support. Upon reaching the registration line, I faced additional FAQs and was directed back to the website. Despite trying keywords like "representative" or "operator", I couldn't bypass the automation. Repeated attempts with different options led nowhere, culminating in a long hold. The lack of a callback system added frustration to the already lengthy process. Now on hold, hoping the call remains connected, I've wasted half an hour just to get to this point. Frustrating experience.

I am inquiring about the delay in processing my registration and title application, which was submitted on 8/11/21 at the Drop Off Center in Braintree, MA. Despite paying my overdue excise taxes from the past 3 years on 8-13-21, I have not received any updates from the RMV. I am also looking to update the name on the registration following my husband's passing in January and obtain a current inspection sticker, which requires a valid registration. My previous transaction #[redacted][redacted] from 7-10-18 involved transferring my Florida plates to Mass plates and I have documents confirming the satisfaction of a lien and my husband's death certificate. How can I resolve these issues promptly to obtain the necessary inspection sticker? Idelia M. [redacted] Pinehurst Drive Plymouth, MA [redacted]

I have been attempting to renew my registration for several weeks now without success. The Mass RMV seems to lack documentation regarding the installation of my interlock device (Intoxalock), preventing me from completing the renewal process. I contacted Intoxalock, and they are unaware of why the RMV does not have the information on file. I went through the necessary steps to have the device installed, initially in my BMW on March 27, [redacted], and then transferred to my new GMC Terrain on March 20, [redacted]. Although I successfully renewed my registration in [redacted] with all this information in the RMV system, it now seems to be missing. Despite visiting the RMV in person multiple times and making three separate calls to customer service today (with long wait times and technical difficulties), I have been unable to get this resolved. I have scheduled a hearing in Wilmington, MA, on November 8th, but as I rely heavily on my car for work, not being able to drive is a significant issue. I am at a loss for what to do next and desperately need assistance in getting my registration renewed.

Hello, my name is Greg T. I grew up in Ipswich, Massachusetts, and have been living in Colorado and Oregon since [redacted]. Unfortunately, my brother has been using my license information in Massachusetts, which has caused it to be suspended. Despite not having a Massachusetts license, his actions have impacted my ability to obtain a new license in Portland, Oregon. I have worked with Detective Charlie Cooper from the Ipswich Police in the past to address this issue, but my brother continued to misuse my information, resulting in the suspension. I have records of my Colorado licenses dating back to [redacted]. I am seeking guidance on how to resolve this matter from Oregon, as I am unable to request my driving record from Massachusetts. Sadly, my brother Jeffrey T. passed away two years ago due to an overdose. He had a history of criminal behavior.

I was recently pulled over due to an unpaid ticket, resulting in a suspended license and my car being towed. I already paid one fee to reinstate my license, but it remains suspended. I believe there might be an additional $[redacted] charge that needs to be settled. As a teacher in Brockton who lives on Cape Cod, I am now stranded without a means to get home from school. I need assistance updating the address for our company's 11 registered vehicles. Despite multiple attempts, the new registrations continue to be sent to our old address. As our mail forwarding service is expiring soon, I am concerned about missing important correspondence. Your guidance on how to successfully change the address for these vehicles would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your support.

I recently received an email confirming the reset of my Massachusetts myRMV access, which is great news. However, when I tried to renew my registration and entered all my details like my name, date of birth, and license number, I was directed to a page stating that a security code was sent to s*****[redacted] This is not my email address, and I am unable to receive the security code needed to proceed with my registration renewal. Despite resetting my information three days ago as instructed, I am still unable to access the security code. I'm unsure how to resolve this issue and would appreciate any assistance in getting the necessary security code to complete my registration renewal. Thank you for your support.

Hello, I am reaching out for advice regarding a predicament with a vehicle my son purchased on Facebook Marketplace. The issue at hand is that the individual listed on the title and bill of sale differs from the person my son purchased the Jeep from. When attempting to register the vehicle at the Watertown RMV, I was informed that the altered date on the title, changed from 10/20/21 to 11/27/21, requires a notarized form signed by the original titled owner for the transfer to proceed. Despite our efforts, my wife and I have been unsuccessful in locating the original owner for the necessary signing. The seller from whom we bought the Jeep has also made contact impossible by removing their information from Facebook. I have all the required paperwork, including insurance forms, ready for the transfer process. Any guidance or suggestions on how to resolve this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Michael M. [redacted]
