About a month ago, a notification appeared on my phone prompting me to download the cloud to avoid losing information. I followed the instructions, but I couldn't use my usual email address, [redacted] Instead, I had to use my recovery email, [redacted] As I didn't have internet at that time, I only had access through my phone at [redacted]. Now, with internet and a new computer, the setup team used my recovery email address instead of my regular one linked to my phone. Consequently, when trying to set up my new smart TV (unused due to lack of internet), it only accepted the recovery email. This caused an issue when a verification code was sent, as I typically use my regular email address for all correspondence. I wonder if I can switch back to using my regular email address for everything without contacting the internet company for an email change. I'm not very tech-savvy and find the situation confusing. Thank you for your help. Best regards, Karen "Kiki" Mortenson

I have been facing multiple issues with Microsoft's online services, specifically with Office applications, which are hindering my ability to work efficiently on my computer. Despite having a valid subscription, I constantly encounter compatibility issues. I feel that Windows 10 is lacking certain essential features and that my Office [redacted] subscription may not be providing access to the latest updates. The limitations and restrictions imposed by Microsoft seem unfair and have been persistent since I started using their products. I am considering escalating this matter to address these ongoing hostilities towards me as a user.

I am having trouble accessing my purchased Office [redacted] version as I think I may have accidentally locked myself out of my Microsoft account by adding an extra, unnecessary Outlook email. I created a new account but it was of no use. Upon trying to sign in, I am presented with seven different options and the instructions are unclear. It is frustrating not knowing which one to choose. Microsoft's current recovery process requires details from Outlook emails which I cannot provide as I don't use Outlook and have never sent any emails from it. My main goal is to regain access to my Office account and remove all unnecessary Outlook email addresses. Contacting Microsoft by phone has proven to be impossible.

My laptop was stolen a year ago, preventing me from using my new laptop. I managed to access my Microsoft account and found some concerning activity. Firstly, my stolen laptop is still connected to my account as "YungsunRei," but the location is disabled. Secondly, the recovery email linked to "[redacted]" shows as "jh****@icloudl.com," which Microsoft won't reveal. I suspect the thief may be using it. I need help locating the laptop as it contains valuable data like record label passwords, unreleased music, and financial forecasts. The linked iCloud account "jh*****@icloud.com" is also a concern. I seek Microsoft's assistance promptly to resolve these issues. I wish to avoid escalating the situation and appreciate any help from Microsoft. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Rei Muziq

About a year ago, my laptop was stolen, which has prevented me from using my new laptop. I recently managed to regain access to my Microsoft account without assistance and found some concerning issues. The first problem is that my old laptop, still connected to the account under the name "YungsunRei," has its location disabled. Secondly, the only recovery email linked to my account "[redacted]" is set to an email address "jh****@icloud.com" that I can't access. I urgently need to track down the location of the stolen laptop as it contains valuable data crucial to my music work and future plans. Additionally, I seek help in identifying the iCloud account associated with my Microsoft account. I need to resolve these issues promptly to secure my information and utilize Microsoft services efficiently on my new device. Your prompt assistance is appreciated to prevent any further complications or potential misuse of my personal data. I prefer a cooperative solution to this situation to mitigate stress for all involved parties. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, Rei Muziq P.S. I have re-input this message once before; please address my concerns promptly to avoid any further setbacks or issues. Your cooperation is crucial in resolving this matter with Microsoft effectively.

I have a Hotmail account that I've had for 20 years. I usually access it without any issues, but recently I forgot my password. After trying several options unsuccessfully, I requested a password reset. Microsoft sent a code to my alternate email, which I entered, and then I filled out a form to the best of my memory. Despite multiple attempts, Microsoft keeps rejecting my information, saying it cannot be verified. I rely on this email account for important information and contacts, so I really need to regain access. I'm 81 years old and not very tech-savvy, but I want to provide accurate information. Can anyone advise me on what might be causing the verification issues so I can try to resolve them and access my account again? Thank you for any help you can provide.

I am looking to regain access to an old email address that I suspect was taken from me or compromised. This email account was created when I was just 12 years old, and I am now 29. I lost access to it around 11 years ago when it was likely compromised. Despite my efforts, I was unable to recover it back then. The email contains very important and personal files, including images and videos from the last moments I spent with my late mother, as well as documents with sensitive personal information that could be used for identity theft. The security questions no longer match as everything seems to have been altered by the hacker, including my recovery phone number. I am frustrated by the lack of assistance from Microsoft in resolving this issue.

I am seeking assistance as I have lost my phone and cannot recall my password for my email account, [redacted] I have been unable to access it since September 5th. This email is linked to my QuickBooks account and my USCIS.gov account. It seems someone may have hacked into my email, as a Facebook account and possibly another email account have been created using my phone number. I have created a new email account, [redacted], for communication regarding account recovery. Despite completing various forms, I have been unsuccessful in recovering my account with Microsoft. I suspect the unauthorized person has access to my account. I need assistance in identifying the user of my original email account, [redacted] Thank you for your help.

I have an old Live account connected to my Instagram. Recently, my Instagram was disabled unexpectedly. I believe it was accidental, but I can't recover it without accessing the associated email, to which I know the password. However, I can't log in due to a "safety check" that requires my old phone number, which I no longer have. I've tried filling out the recovery form, but it fails every time. I can provide potential old passwords, the names of my first three pets, and details about my first hamster to help with recovery. I have since moved on to an Outlook email with the same prefix "ervinvlore." I am willing to provide any speculative information to regain access. It would be great if support could assist in checking the Instagram email to validate my ownership. Hoping for a resolution soon.

I have an old Live account linked to my Instagram. Recently, my Instagram was disabled unexpectedly. I can't recover it as it's linked to an email I can't access. I remember the password but can't log in due to a "safety check" needing my old phone number, which I no longer have. I've tried the recovery form multiple times, failed, and can provide old passwords, the names of my first 3 pets, and possible variations. I have since moved on to an Outlook email with the prefix "ervinvlore" (Vlore is my hometown, Tartaraj my surname) but would like to regain access to my old email for Instagram. I can offer more details and visual proof to verify ownership of the Instagram account. Looking forward to resolving this issue.

I am facing an issue with someone hacking into my Xbox while I am playing games on Xbox Live Game Pass. This person has been changing settings on my controllers and causing money to disappear from my account. Despite getting assistance three days ago for a reboot from a person named Luigi, the problem has recurred multiple times. I am extremely frustrated that my devices, including my phone, computer, and Xbox, are compromised. I have tried reaching out for help to no avail. I am considering legal action if this matter is not resolved promptly. I urge Microsoft to contact me as soon as possible to address this serious security breach. Thank you. - Andrew R.

Whenever I try to power on my desktop computer or Surface Pro, I receive an error message stating, "OOPS Something went wrong. There is an issue with your Microsoft account. To resolve this, log in to account.live.com from a browser. NEXT" However, when I try to access "account.live.com," I encounter an error message: Microsoft Sign in Something went wrong and we can't sign you in right now. Please try again later. The Microsoft account login server has detected too many repeated authentication attempts. Please wait a moment and try again. This problem has persisted since last Friday. Additionally, I've attempted to use the authentication app, but I haven't received any SMS messages on my phone. Despite changing my password multiple times and receiving confirmation emails for the changes, the login attempts still yield the same outcome.

The authentication application is no longer displaying codes on my device, even though everything is enabled. Unfortunately, push notifications to the app are also not working, even though I have full connectivity. The main issue seems to be that Microsoft is not recognizing my login email, [redacted], despite it being valid. I have the full Microsoft Office suite through my school email, so it should be recognized. Another problem arises when I attempt to add 2FA or a backup to my authenticator app, or update my phone number. It requires a code from the authenticator app, which creates a loop making it impossible to proceed since I need a code from the app to access the app for the code. A phone call might be the best option to troubleshoot this issue created by the system. Please contact me at [redacted].

I encountered an issue with my Minecraft Windows 10 edition Realms subscription. After receiving a notification that my subscription had expired, I attempted to renew it online. However, instead of renewing my old Realms account, a new one was created, resulting in two active subscriptions. Interestingly, after purchasing the new subscription, the old one started working again. Given my current location in Japan and the limitations on making phone calls due to high charges, I am unable to call for assistance. I would like a refund for the duplicate Realms subscription that I have not used. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

During my morning email check, I was prompted by my Microsoft email manager to update my password for account syncing purposes. Despite completing the recovery form three days ago, I have yet to receive the necessary codes from Microsoft to regain access to an email I have had for the past 8 years. I provided my son's email, [redacted], for assistance during this process. The email address experiencing issues is [redacted] Timely resolution of this matter is crucial for me. I am considering a monthly tech support plan with Microsoft to address this and may discontinue using Yahoo for tech support needs. As a retiree at 65 years old, it is vital for me to have access to my email. Thank you, Vincent Stona

I need assistance with OneDrive. Previously, I used it on four devices: a desktop computer and two laptops running 32-bit Windows 10, as well as an Android phone. I unlinked one laptop, leaving me with three devices. Recently, I installed OneDrive on a 32-bit Windows 7 laptop, and issues arose. Despite trying various solutions, I now experience unwanted synchronization between my devices. Data from the desktop is visible on the new laptop, and vice versa. This extended to my phone, where I can now see desktop data, unlike before. I am hesitant to unsync the desktop folder as it could render it unusable, resulting in data loss. This unintended synchronization has also caused my OneDrive to be 90% full, risking lock-up. I lack the ability to clean up space, making it essential for me to address this issue promptly.
