My Optus landline is dead and my internet is dead. I have called support and someone got me to do all the usual things like press restart and poke a needle type thing in the reset, also tried swapping phone leads as suggested, nothing worked. Disconnected modem from mains power, still no landline phone. Message on phone screen is 'Check Telephone Line' Went to Optus retail shop to ask if they could help, they suggested possibly the modem is faulty. There are two lights showing on the modem (when turned on) they are the green power light and a flashing wifi light. I have been trying for two days and all I have is a reference number for faults ********** I've tried viewing Senior Expert link but it leads me no where. If the modem is faulty, why when there is no power to it the phone doesn't work?
