Good evening, I am Dr. Chinedum Enete, a recent medical school graduate currently doing my internship in Nigeria. I am interested in practicing in the US and have been looking into the requirements. To practice in the US, passing the USMLE steps is necessary, but the cost of the exam has been a challenge for me. During my search for solutions, I learned about the Sallie Mae loan program and how it has assisted many individuals. I am curious to know if non-US citizens can access this program and how I can benefit from it. I would appreciate a prompt response. Thank you for your help in making people's dreams a reality. Thank you.

I'm experiencing a recurring issue with Sallie Mae where they withdraw my monthly loan payment correctly, but then take an extra $38.20 from my bank account for "insufficient funds," even though the payment went through without any issues. This has caused my account to go into the negative, and I am frustrated with this ongoing problem. I need this resolved by noon today (9/19) to avoid further penalties from my bank. I have faced similar problems in the past, including multiple incorrect charges and delays in fixing the payments, which have been very time-consuming to resolve. I demand the $38 charge be refunded promptly to my bank account and a confirmation of the reimbursement. If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will seek legal assistance to address this matter with Sallie Mae.

Subject: Student Loan Inquiry Dear Chairs and Executive Directors, I am writing to inquire about the student loan program. I have applied for a loan and have been searching for a co-signer with little success. I am wondering if it's possible for me to proceed with the loan without a co-signer. Unfortunately, I have faced challenges in finding support as I have been on my own since losing both of my parents. I have been dedicated to working for nearly 50 months to support my education and move forward. Despite my efforts, I have not made much progress. I am determined to pursue my studies in Finance and International Relations (Political Science) and languages. Attending a prestigious university is important to me, but I have encountered obstacles that have made it difficult to secure the necessary funds. I have reached out to various social, financial, and community organizations for assistance without success. I am eager to resolve these financial challenges and continue my education promptly. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your guidance and assistance. Best regards, Joel

I am seeking assistance regarding a dispute with debt calculations for my daughter attending NYU. She was in school until May [redacted] and then took a medical leave due to an illness. I believe the interest accrued on the loans is incorrect, as they show the same time frame for both loans and my daughter was a full-time student when she took them out. I am requesting a review of the payments made to ensure they are properly applied to principal and any erroneous fees are corrected. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this with customer service, no action has been taken. I may pursue legal action if necessary. Please respond to this matter within 10 days or direct me to your legal department.

Hello, my name is Manuel C. and I recently applied for a loan for my first semester of medicine at the University of Medicine and Health Sciences in St. Kitts. I was previously approved for a Sallie Mae loan ($18,[redacted]) for the introductory semester from August to December to start my medicine career in January. My grandmother, Carmen C., was my cosigner for the first loan, so I applied with her for the second loan. Unfortunately, the second loan wasn't approved. I attempted to apply individually, but the website requires a phone call to resolve the issue. I am unable to make calls due to lack of service on the island. I am hoping to contact them to discuss the approval of the loan or explore the option of applying with a different cosigner. Thank you.

I was placed in forbearance for two months due to job loss. It was agreed that $[redacted] would be withdrawn each month, but the second payment was not taken. I noticed this in December, only to find out I owe over $[redacted] in late fees. When I called for assistance with an interpreter, the associate abruptly ended the call. I cannot afford this amount for a mistake that was not mine. Assistance was promised, and now blame is being placed on me for not calling to arrange the second payment. This situation is distressing, and I seek resolution.

I have been experiencing conflicting information for months regarding my account. Initially, I requested a forbearance and was informed that I would need to pay $50 per account monthly to maintain it, which is challenging due to my difficulty finding work. When inquiring about an income-driven payment plan, I was advised it could be an option if I paid $[redacted] to bring the account up to date. Unfortunately, this isn't feasible for me. I am trying earnestly to address my financial issues but have not received the assistance I hoped for. I seek clear guidance on viable financial support, such as deferment, forbearance, or an income-driven payment arrangement.

I recently received an email from Sallie Mae on September 4, [redacted], stating that I did not pay the $23.60 owed on my credit card statement. I mailed the payment on August 16, [redacted], and this is the second time Sallie Mae claims I did not pay after I also sent a payment for $3.79 on May 21, [redacted]. I contacted Sallie Mae before to resolve the first issue. I want Sallie Mae to acknowledge the payments I send via regular mail and properly credit my account. I will not pay any late fees as I have proof of payment. If this continues, I will close my account. Please check your records for the $23.60 payment. Kindly address this promptly.

I have a loan with Sallie Mae and need to find out the pay-off amount, but I can't access their website as I'm out of the country. I don't want to use a VPN. Calling is not an option as I'm abroad, and it's costly. Sallie Mae's high-interest rates for school loans with co-signers are frustrating, especially when my credit score is over [redacted]. Any suggestions on how to obtain the pay-off amount without using their website or calling?

I am confused by the email I received on 11/13/21 regarding my account ending in [redacted]. On 8/24/21, I made a withdrawal and then deposited funds on 9/28/21. There has been recent activity on this account, yet the email seems to imply otherwise. I recommend that Sallie Mae Bank familiarize themselves with Minnesota's Unclaimed Property laws under [redacted] Minnesota Statutes, Chapter [redacted], Section [redacted].32. It outlines the circumstances under which property held by banking organizations is considered abandoned. I hope this information clarifies the confusion. - R. J. Ahles

Subject: Issue with Bank Emails Hello, I am writing to address a concerning issue with the emails I have been receiving from the bank. My email account and paperless statement preferences have not been altered. This appears to be a fraudulent activity. Unfortunately, I am unable to reach anyone by phone due to it being Saturday. Therefore, I am left with no choice but to reach out via email to resolve this matter promptly. I hold both saving and credit accounts with your institution. Thank you, Majid Merat
