Hello, I bought Premier Fed + 1 free State return [redacted] for $69.99 through Amazon. I have proof of the order. I filled out my Fed + 1 free State return and needed one more state form (non-resident), which was initially supposed to cost $19.99 according to TurboTax. However, I was charged $39.99 instead for the additional state form. I have proof of this charge. Now, as I am about to file, it is asking me to pay for both state e-files again. It doesn't seem to acknowledge that one state was meant to be free and that I already paid for the second one. I don't want to pay another $39.99 for the two state e-files again and I would like the extra $19.99 I paid for the second state to be refunded. I am prepared to file but cannot proceed until this is resolved. Please assist promptly. Thank you.

TurboTax initially failed to give me the option to choose the correct bank account for my refund. They deposited it in the wrong account, causing major issues. I made repeated attempts to call them last week to rectify the situation, but the long wait times have made it challenging due to my work schedule. Now, TurboTax is imposing a bounceback fee and will send my refund via check instead. This delay is causing significant financial strain as I recently lost my job and urgently need the refund to cover my electric bill today and my cash advance and rent on Friday. Unfortunately, this situation may lead to disconnection of our electricity and potentially receiving an eviction notice, all due to TurboTax's lack of payment options.

I am having trouble filing my MN state taxes through TT. After paying the e-file fee, I encountered an issue where a wrong figure appeared in a red box requesting a correction. Despite my attempts, I was unable to delete or modify the figure on the form. Rebooting and accessing the actual form did not solve the problem. Each time I attempted to leave, the system prompted me to file, creating frustration. I have spent hours over two days seeking TT's help to no avail, only receiving one response with a question in the community forum. This glitch in the TT program has made it impossible for me to complete the filing process.

TurboTax initially did not allow me to select the correct bank account for my refund, resulting in it being sent to the wrong account. Despite my attempts to reach them last week, the long wait times have caused issues due to my work schedule. Consequently, a bounceback fee has been charged, and my refund will now be sent via check. Unfortunately, this situation has arisen at a challenging time as I recently lost my job. I urgently needed the refund to cover my electric bill today and upcoming expenses like a cash advance and rent on Friday. The delay may lead to disconnection of the electricity and a potential eviction notice, which is distressing. I am requesting TurboTax to offer a Cash Advance until I receive the check, allowing me to manage my immediate financial obligations. Additionally, I am seeking a refund for the bounceback fee incurred due to the misdirected payment caused by the lack of payment option provided by TurboTax.

I recently purchased the new TurboTax Deluxe via Amazon. After downloading and registering the software, I encountered an issue where my MacPro running on OS X 10.11.16 was incompatible with TurboTax, which requires OS X 10.12. Despite attempting to update my system without success, TurboTax suggested using their online platform as a solution. I am hesitant to invest more money into a product I am currently unable to utilize.

My TurboTax prepaid card was due to arrive today, but I haven't received it yet. I got an email confirmation that it was sent on the 24th. I opened a Commerce Bank checking account on February 22nd and received a debit card the same day. I have all the necessary information to switch to direct deposit for my tax refund. I'm hoping I can still make the change to get my money sooner. Instead of emailing, please contact me at [redacted]. Thank you for your help.

I recently received a letter from the state of Illinois informing me that I owe more than expected. Initially, I was supposed to receive a refund, but it appears that now I owe money to both Illinois and Missouri. I utilized audit protection, and upon review, it seems that I may have made an error related to claiming a credit for an extension. This is perplexing to me as not much has changed in my financial situation compared to previous years, and I have never owed both states before, let alone owe such a significant amount. Furthermore, despite having various coupons and emails offering discounts for using TurboTax again, I did not receive any deductions, which is disappointing. I believe there may have been an issue with TurboTax causing these discrepancies as others seem to have encountered similar problems. I used the online and mobile app services, and I am seeking a prompt resolution to rectify this situation.

I recently received a letter from the state of Illinois indicating that I owe over [redacted], even though I was expecting a refund of [redacted]. I am also facing a similar situation with Missouri. I utilized audit protection services, but there seems to be a misunderstanding regarding a credit for an extension that I do not recall applying for. I am puzzled by this error as my circumstances have not drastically changed from previous years, and I have never had to pay both states, let alone such a significant amount. Furthermore, despite having discounts through coupons and emails for using TurboTax once again and their phone app, I did not receive any reduction in fees. This experience is far from the easy and cost-effective service that was promised. TurboTax needs to thoroughly review my filings to identify and rectify the mistake promptly.

As a loyal TurboTax customer for 8 years, this tax season has been incredibly frustrating. I had to switch from TurboTax Premier to Self Employed, and finally Self Employed Live just to get assistance. Throughout the process, I had to contact the live desk 4 times and faced multiple issues each time. The agents were unable to provide accurate answers, leading me to restart my return twice. Additionally, I received incorrect information on one occasion, risking mistakes in my filing. The confusion between itemized and standard deductions further complicated matters. Now, I'm facing a $[redacted] fee for unreliable guidance. I may need to switch to a different service provider for the fourth time, which will involve a considerable amount of effort as most of my information was imported from last year's TurboTax return. It's frustrating to consider paying for a "CPA" service that fails to deliver proper assistance.

I e-filed my taxes with TurboTax and opted for the TurboTax Prepaid Visa card for my refund. Unfortunately, the first card was returned to TurboTax without my knowledge. After discovering this on Feb 25th, I called customer service to arrange for a new card. They declined my request to use another personal card I had, so I had to wait for the new card. Facing the dilemma of not having access to my refund scheduled for deposit on Feb 27th, I was instructed to call back after 24 hours to expedite the process. When I did call back the next day, due to time zone differences, I had to wait two more hours before requesting an expedited card, which came with a $15 fee. Despite several attempts to follow up and expedite the card, I faced long holds and disconnections. I am disappointed with TurboTax's service as a first-time user and seek a resolution to this issue. Can TurboTax provide my card details so I can activate it, transfer funds, and pay my bills, rather than waiting 7-10 business days for the new card to arrive? Your help is appreciated.

I used TurboTax to file my Federal and State taxes like I usually do, but this time my refund is under review. After looking into it, I discovered that box 4B on the EIC wasn't checked, which led to this review. I rely on TurboTax for their efficiency and accuracy, but missing such a crucial detail makes me question their competence. This has caused me a lot of inconvenience and frustration as my refund is now delayed. I'm quite upset with the service this year and feel let down. Maybe I should explore different options for filing my taxes next year to ensure a smoother process.

My wife and I filed our taxes on February 4, [redacted], and our refund is still showing as accepted on the IRS website. Other people who filed after us using TurboTax already received their returns. We didn't claim the earned income credit or any other credits as we don't have children. We have filed jointly for the past 8 years, and this is the first time it's taking so long. I'm concerned if everything is okay with our return. I'm not sure if I did something wrong or if we are being audited. Is there anything I should do to resolve this issue, or is the IRS just delayed? I prefer not to give my SSN and refund amount via email to speak with a live person. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

A few years ago, I had to submit a Schedule K-1 form using TurboTax (I think it was in [redacted]). Since then, I haven't needed this form. However, every year, TurboTax insists I must use the Deluxe edition because it automatically brings in my past information, including the old Schedule K-1 that is no longer relevant. This has led me to pay $39.99 needlessly for the Deluxe edition from my federal return. Additionally, I unknowingly paid a $39.99 processing fee by choosing to pay with my federal return instead of my credit card, an option that was not clearly indicated. Altogether, I paid $[redacted].97 instead of the $39.99 I should have paid for the state return. I feel disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding fees in TurboTax. Their approach seems geared towards making extra money from people trying to file quickly, like me, who miss the fine print. I hope to get a refund of $79.98 for these unnecessary charges.

I spoke to a representative at TurboTax who mentioned that the IRS is required by law to release refunds for the Child Income Tax Credit (CITC) and the Earned Income Credit (EIC) to eligible filers. I filed my return on February 13th, including 2 W-2G forms and 3 W-2 forms, along with an income tax refund from [redacted] that I had to report this year. However, I faced issues entering $2,[redacted] in gambling losses as the website required me to itemize deductions. Despite paying $[redacted] for TurboTax Max Plus and expecting my refund within 21 days, I have not received it. If I go past the March 6th deadline, I wonder if I should have filed for free and waited, as the additional charges don't seem justified. Dealing with the automated chat is frustrating, and I hope TurboTax provides a clear resolution or refunds the charges incurred for the promised services.

I am frustrated with my state taxes filed through TurboTax. After eagerly waiting for my state tax refund, I discovered that there were issues with my submission. Apparently, there was a problem with a worksheet related to direct deposit that was not completed properly. While I, along with my girlfriend and friends, faced this issue, TurboTax failed to notify us clearly. I was unaware that selecting Yes for direct deposit would impede the process, unlike the Federal tax return. I believe TurboTax should improve its system by either disabling direct deposit if not possible or displaying a prominent message when there's a problem. As a developer, I find this programming flaw unacceptable. The delay in my state tax refund has caused me to miss payments, creating further financial stress.

I wanted to check on my tax refund, but it hasn't shown up in my account. When I reviewed my tax information, I noticed that my account number is incorrectly entered. The first half matches my routing number, and the second half is part of my account number. I need help changing this so I can receive my funds, especially since I am relocating urgently. We are being asked to leave our current place and are moving to Des Moines soon.

I am requesting a refund for my TurboTax filing. I chose "TurboTax Free" but was later switched to TurboTax Deluxe after entering a small dollar amount from a form. I was not informed about this automatic switch beforehand. I have been a loyal TurboTax user for years and have never encountered this issue. I paid around $77 for what was supposed to be a free service, and I am disappointed with this misleading advertising. I would appreciate a resolution to this matter. Thank you. - DKT

As a dual Canadian and American citizen who files taxes with both the CRA and IRS, I typically use the online TurboTax product for Canada. However, I am looking for recommendations on a TurboTax product to file with the IRS. I have been informed that I cannot use a downloaded TurboTax product in Canada for IRS filing. I plan to visit the US soon and am considering purchasing a TurboTax CD there to use for IRS filing. Will this product allow me to file with a Canadian address? If this plan is not viable, I would appreciate guidance on the best approach for IRS filing while residing in Canada. Thank you, M. Inglis

I am facing issues downloading the software as my laptops do not have CD players. I called for instructions and provided my CD-ASM number and email address but did not receive the download email. Upon calling again and waiting for 45 minutes, I spoke to a representative who seemed to struggle with understanding me, asking me to repeat account details and putting me on hold multiple times. After more than 35 minutes, the call got disconnected. I am extremely upset and concerned about the legitimacy of your representatives. I have been a loyal TurboTax customer for over two decades and have never experienced such unprofessionalism. I urge someone to address this issue promptly and explain why there was a communication breakdown during such a simple task. This experience has left me disappointed and hesitant to recommend TurboTax in the future. I hope to hear back from you soon to resolve this matter.

I recently received two Turbo Tax cards, one of which has funds but I'm unable to withdraw cash or use it in physical stores, only for online purchases. This has caused me to incur a late fee for my rent as I needed a PIN for this card which is not working. I paid over $[redacted] for services from Intuit and feel misled. If this issue is not resolved, I will have to report it to authorities. I'm stressed and overwhelmed due to the late fees accruing daily. I hope to resolve this quickly to access the funds I earned. Thank you in advance and have a great weekend. - M. Richman
