What are the requirements for getting a learner's permit?

Asked 7 months ago
To obtain a learner's permit in West Virginia, you must be at least 15 years old. You need to pass a vision test, written test, and a traffic signs test. The written exam assesses your knowledge of traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving practices. You can prepare for the test by studying the West Virginia Driver's Licensing Handbook. Additionally, you must provide documents to prove your identity, Social Security number, residency, and legal presence in the United States. Acceptable documents include birth certificates, passports, and Social Security cards. If you are under 18, you need parental consent and must also present proof of enrollment in or completion of a driver's education course. Once you meet these requirements and pay the necessary fees, you will receive your learner's permit.
