Calling this number can be helpful, although it seems that Fandango wants to use its number more to push people toward its website as opposed to offering help over the phone. When I called this number, I was presented with several options, including checking how to check my Fandango balance, getting assistance with an account and requesting a refund from Fandango.
I opted to request information on checking my balance, and the system told me that I could check my account balance by logging on to Fandango's website and entering in my information. At this point, I could either do exactly as was suggested, or I could remain on the line and wait for the next available representative if I had further questions.
I chose to stay on the line and got connected to a representative in less than a minute. She thanked me for calling Fandango and asked how she could assist me. I asked her how I could use Fandango to find movie times in my area. She told me that I could go on Fandango's website and enter my zip code where I wanted to go to the theater. From there, the site would suggest a theater in or near the zip code I had chosen and provide me with movies and times for the next few days. Once I confirmed I could do that, she asked me if I had any more questions for her. I told her I did not, and she thanked me for my time calling Fandango and wished me a pleasant evening.
Overall, I thought this was a good experience. I got the information I needed and was able to get help rather quickly. I didn't have to wait for unnecessary menus or anything; all I had to do was stay on the line and I'd get connected. Based on this interaction, I'd use this number if I needed help.
